Airbnb cleaning checklist: a free room-by-room turnover list
A changeover goes well when everyone follows the same list. Print this for your cleaner, or keep it in a clear sleeve in the property.

Entrance and living area
- Open windows to air the property
- Check for items left by guests
- Dust surfaces, shelves and TV
- Vacuum and mop floors
- Plump cushions, fold throws
- Check light bulbs and remote batteries
Kitchen
- Empty and wipe the fridge
- Clean hob, oven and microwave
- Run and empty the dishwasher
- Check crockery, glasses and cutlery are complete
- Wipe cupboard fronts and handles
- Empty bins and replace liners
Bathroom
- Clean toilet, shower, bath and sink
- Clean mirrors and glass
- Replace towels and bath mat
- Restock toilet paper, soap and shampoo
- Check drains are running freely
Bedrooms
- Strip and remake beds with fresh linen
- Check mattress protectors and pillows
- Dust bedside tables and lamps
- Check wardrobes and drawers are empty
- Leave spare blankets where guests can find them
Outdoor space
- Sweep terrace or balcony
- Wipe outdoor furniture
- Empty outdoor bins
Final walkthrough
- Heating or air con set for arrival
- All lights off, windows closed
- Welcome book and Wi-Fi sign in place
- Take a photo of each room
- Lock up and return the key to the lockbox
